Door hack

This is a problem many have faced and definitely will face sometime later... this is my second time. The problem at hand is locking a door from inside while you are outside (Its a freaking thing to happen the first thing in the morning). The second problem is locking the keys inside. The third problem is calling a locksmith to unlock the door and emptying your bank balance by quarter of a grand.

But no worries. All you need is ThumsUp PET bottle or whichever soft drink bottle you or your favourite star likes, a cutter and Fevi-kwik.

Step 1.
Remove the label from the bottle. Cut out the middle part of the bottle.
Be careful to not hurt yourself. Inexperienced (and clumsy) people keep med-kit ready.

Step 2.
Open the cylindrical part to have a sheet of plastic ready for the hack.

Step 3.
Slide the sheet between the door and frame in line with the door lock. Its good to slide it by keeping inner side of sheet facing the door frame. This helps in unlocking the door easily.

Step 4.
Push, shove, use all your power to slide the sheet further. This is the toughest part. (It helps not injuring or losing fingers in Step 1 and 2 to do well in this step.)

After some sweating and swearing the door lock will give way and you get back to your precious things. Be smart and keep the keys somewhere accessible next time you do the same (yeah, with that cute neighbour).

What about Fevi-kwik? Use it to stick back your cut finger end.
